KARACHI / LAHORE / ISLAMABAD / PESHAWAR / QUETTA: The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 2,081 on Wednesday after new infections were confirmed in the country.
The province-wise break up of the total number of cases as of 3:17pm, April 1, is as follows:
Total confirmed cases: 2,081
• Sindh: 679
• Punjab: 740
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 253
• Balochistan: 158
• Islamabad Capital Territory: 58
• Gilgit-Baltistan: 184
• AJK: 9
Deaths: 26
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 6

• Punjab: 9
Globally, more than 42,000 deaths from the virus have been recorded so far, of which most have been in Europe since the disease first emerged in December.
Meanwhile, more than 860,000 cases of the virus have been registered in 203 countries and territories.
